Wow! This book had me on a ride! In this part of the story they are actually trying to stay away from each other (for a while).... and you start to see Nina become her own person. It is a slow process but she keeps on picking up a little more and more as she goes. She comes to the conclusion that she and Matthew will not be able to be together after all is said and done..... but you still see her taking the steps to make a life she wants for herself and her daughter! It is a BEAUTIFUL thing to see happening! Along with this... there is also the mystery of what her husband is actually up to (even though we basically know) and who he is working with. And you find out some of it..... but there is still so much more to learn! Still so many things I need to know... I NEED THE NEXT BOOK NOW!!! In the meantime I am going to make a nice list of horrible things I want to see happen to one certain female who is absolutely the girl you love to hate..... and with very good reason!

In this book, we learn a lot more about Nina’s background. Nina is the woman that everyone assumes has a perfect life. Behind the facade, this beautiful strong woman has made the best of some tough situations. She’s protective of those she loves, especially her daughter. She has made sacrifices to protect her. We learn more about how Nina ended up with her husband. Overall, you get a new appreciation for who Nina is and what she’s been through.

Matthew continues to shine. Where he can, he supports and protects Nina. What was supposed to be a one-night stand has always been way more than that and their love continues to grow. Can they find a way to a happy ending together?

This story is full of twists and turns that keep you engaged. I loved the plot twist just when you think you have everything figured out. I have no idea what to expect in the next book but I can’t wait to read it!

This is a voluntary review of an advanced reader copy.

I have been waiting for the continuation of Matthew and Nina’s story for the longest time and it was worth the wait! This is even better than the first one. Their story continues with more twists and turns, more questions arise. My heart was beating so fast because I just want to know what's going to happen next. Then..it ended with yet another cliffhanger..I can't wait for the conclusion to their story ASAP!

I'm invested enough in this that I want to see what happens in the next book. I have suspicions that there will be groveling involved.

Nina and Matthew are actually the dumbest fucking characters I've ever read about. How the fuck do you not realize your "friend" is changing herself to look exactly like you and can't even recognize her in videos??? fucking idiots

Another Home Run

Nicole French has done it again with these series. I just can’t get enough, and that ending leaves me wanting. I need to know how it ends like yesterday. I absolutely love these characters.
