Blackbird - I think one of the reasons why I liked this story so much is because I was bullied a lot as a child so its nice seeing a bully apologize and realize they were wrong to think bullying someone was funny. I like how Blackbird was just Nole's guilty subconscious being like "hey, your friend might be dead because you thought bullying was funny." Don't really have anything else to say about this story.The Real Jake - I was sobbing by the end of this story. You can't just give me lovable characters and then kill them off, how dare. This story is also a great example of the whole "found family" thing. This explains where Jake came from from the Stitchwraith epilogues. But it also sucks how Jake had to suffer through cancer and chemo just to be stuck in an animatronic endoskeleton with a very angry kid. Jake did get to open the closet and meet Simon.
Hide and Seek - I never got the lore to Shadow Bonnie in the games because it only showed up at random. I don't really understand the sibling competitiveness but it seems really unhealthy. I think Toby's dad might encourage this behavior. I don't get how Toby is petty enough to kill himself to "win" against Shadow Bonnie when he could have just accepted defeat.
Jake is such a sweety and deserves the whole world. Instead of letting Andrew hurt Detective Larson he just throws their body into the trash compactor and then fights so hard to get Andrew to pass on with him. Because he fought so hard to free Andrew from William Afton Jake got stuck with William while I can assume Andrew kind of got shunted off to were he can pass on. I really hope William doesn't end up killing Larson because he is just trying his best and doesn't deserve that kind of death.

I think this was the first Fazbear Frights book where nobody was killed by an animatronic, that was quite surprising.The first story had very good character development, I detested the guy at the beginning, but towards the end he got better.
The second one was actually such a sweet one. It had a sad ending yes, but all the characters were really nice.
The last one was probably the least memorable for me, and it kind of remi ded me of the Doctor Who episode where someone had a giant bug on the back.
But the sibling rivalry is real in this one.

The theme of guilt and it’s self destructive nature was pretty blatant in this one. The stories themselves didn’t seem entirely cleverly related to any particular part of the lore either, so it lost my attention fairly often, though the second story was an interesting tale on its own! The gruesome finish of the main three stories felt out of place in this book ultimately, but in place with the series so that was a pro! The bonus tale at the end of the book connected and clarified so much information regarding the end of The Fourth Closet that it was ultimately the strongest part in this one despite not being part of the headline stories.
Overall, I could have been more enthralled but these felt like repeats of the same concept as a couple past books of the series.

Dude, honestly the best Fazbear Frights entry yet.
All three stories were honestly better well written. All of the Fazbear Frights novels aren't badly written, but honestly, this one just flowed better I think. The stories also felt like some of the darkest ones yet. I know kids read these, and they're who these books are written for. I feel like a little scare and shock is good for any age while it comes to reading, but these felt if they were written for older kids for sure.
The first one was good, very suspenseful and just a fun story, where honestly the main character, Nole got what he deserved. Definitely need more of Blackbird in the future, he was generally a scary character!
The second story was about a nanny taking care of a dying boy while his dad is in the army. I feel if you're reading these stories then you're probably into FNAF lore, then you'll know the only thing linking this story to the Fazbear universe, is Evan and Micheal, the boy's dad and his uncle. While on the more bittersweet side, it was such a good read. I knew what was coming but was really hoping for a twist.
The final story was my favorite of the three. Toby is just trying to beat his brother's high scores in Freddy Fazbear's Pizza Place. The new game Hide and Seak, with everybody's favorite rabbit, is haunting him, But Toby is determined to get the highest score, no matter what it costs. I think this one was the darkest one, the end caught me off guard, and I loved it.
