this one hurt! which is a real shock because everything I'd seen for it had been the super sweet art. a big portion of this first volume focuses on the abusive relationship one of the characters is in, and it's a hard read when you're expecting soft yuri romance. still, I think it's refreshing to get a serious, adult storyline in a licensed yuri and am looking forward to continuing the manga. the art style is lovely, with real care being put into the women's designs that makes it feel like the mangaka truly adores women in all forms. midori is a character archetype I adore so I'm a bit smitten with how she's depicted and really want to see her happy.
