Good!

Pretty good young adult novel. Especially if you enjoy supernatural mixed with romance with a nice twist. I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series.

I like this book, although I can't believe it took Tavia so long to figure out the who Benson was! Really! Can' the teens be a bit more intelligent?

I was just not connecting with the story. Hopefully I will at some point try it again.

Tavia was orphaned by a plane accident. Somehow, miraculously, Tavia survived the crash. Since then she has been living with her aunt and uncle in Portsmouth.

Everything seems to be going okay until Tavia starts seeing things. There is this mysterious boy she has never met and strange glowing signs. She thinks she’s just seeing things until she suddenly learns something that could be potentially actually dangerous and life-threatening.

So Tavia and Benson, her friend from the Portsmouth library, make a run for it. They head towards Maine and, hopefully, some answers and maybe even help.

I thought the idea of this novel was rather original. The idea that people can create something from nothing and that the things they create last for five minutes before disappearing is new to me.

This novel kept me intrigued. I don’t want to say too much and give anything away. Suffice it to say that I kept turning the pages and picked up the sequel as soon as I finished Earthbound.

I thought this book was really good. I really enjoyed the writing style, the world...the main characters were easy to embrace. I will say that I did see a lot of the plot twists coming, but even still it was a great read and I definitely want to pick up book 2 soon :)! Also .. I love the cover.. so exciting !

Not going to finish, stopped page 52. I wasn't pulled into this story like I hoped I would be. A love triangle and possible magic related destiny sounds good but the buildup was going very slow. I stopped right as she had her first face to face with boy #2 and I should have been excited to see what his deal was but nope. Did not have any interest in him.

narrator made Benson sound like Spicoli... not a great book, but it made a decent soporific
