Luckily I had purchased the first and second books of the Clanless series at the same time. As soon as I finished the last page of the first book, I reached for the second. The storyline continued on seamlessly, and at last addressed something that had been tickling my brain the entire first book. Why was Ann so... odd? By the end of the day, I'd finished the second book and now I must lunge for the Buy button again to get book three!

I think this book is a great book 2 in the series. There are more interesting supernatural bad guys awaiting you. Meg is starting to get a hang of new powers, and starting to warm up to being a hero. I think If you liked book one Senior Year Bites, you should keep reading this series. *I received this book from the author in exchange for an honest review*

This book was amazing, like a mixture of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Scooby Doo but so much better than that. Casey Tam, was turned into a vampire in book one and in this book she is learning to balance her powers, love life and friendships. Throw in that her best friend’s parents have disappeared and a road trip to Maine to rescue them and you have one quick moving story. Wait, I almost forgot the most important part her best friend Ann’s boyfriend Alexander may or may not be her arch enemy.

Alexander is the typical brooding magical being who is supposed to be Casey’s sworn enemy because she’s a vampire. Although they don’t know it, they are seriously attracted to each other. How things work out between Alexander, Ann and Casey is believable and adds so much to this story. Summer Break Blues was so much fun that I read it in one sitting. The characters never take themselves too seriously and the mystery and romance keep everything moving. I didn’t read the first book in the series and didn’t feel as if I missed out on too much background information. However, the ending did leave me wishing that this was a stand-alone book and not part of a series because I wanted a resolution. Oh well, I guess I’ll just have to read the next installment.
