This was fun to listen to on audiobook. I loved the proverbs. I was hoping it would go a little deeper.

I loved listening to this audiobook! I really enjoyed the fact the author is the one reading the book . The book has a couple of Igbo proverbs and its is very interesting to hear her speak her native tongue .I also really enjoyed how she made connections with her Igbo proverbs to the points she was mentioning . As a person of colour who speaks a different language alongside English I really loved learning the proverbs and their meanings because there are so many different quotes and sayings in my own native tongue that are not well known to other people in the world . I also loved how she touched upon many different aspects of self improvement. She has many useful tools and tips as well. Overall it was a great and I highly recommend listening to the audiobook to hear Chidera herself empower you to be the best version of yourself.

This was a nice book. A bit repetetive but it talked about a lot of important subjects.

The designs and typography were all very cool, though it didn't have the kind of insight or depth I had anticipated.

It didn't have much depth but the points made were very thought provoking and encouraging for anyone at any point in their life, so it's definitely worth a read if you need words of encouragement

Come see me talk more about books over at my Twitter!
Gonna keep this review short and sweet (just like this book, which took me a little over an hour to read). I loved it! I added What a Time to Be Alone to my TBR almost a year ago but I'm actually glad that it took me so long to read because it gave me messages that I really needed to hear right at this point in my life. I can understand why some people have said it's superficial; this book isn't groundbreaking, nor does it go into much depth. But sometimes it's more than enough to read in black and white the lessons that you need to learn. This is a book I would really like a physical copy of, not only because it's designed beautifully, but because I think it's a book I'll end up going back to repeatedly when I need a little pick-me-up and a reminder to keep going.
