This is the first book in a spin off from the Winter Black series. I already liked Autumn from that series so I knew I would like this book. I had no idea I would like it so much! I couldn’t put it down! I think this is my favorite series from Mary. There are a lot of different story lines introduced that we will get to see play out over the series. Winter, Noah, Justin and Aiden all make appearances and add to the book. I would highly recommend this book. Even if you haven’t read the winter black series you will have no problem keeping up in this book.

The writing here just didn’t click with me. Right away some character names annoyed me and then the whole serial killer’s sister is your best friend was just too much.

Following the characters from the Winter series. I am interest to see where book 2 goes. The serial killer thing is getting a little old.

Autumn picks up where Winter left off armed with her many degrees and innate insight into people Autumn sets off on the hunt for what may be a serial killer. Couples are dying viciously for no obvious reason.

Can Autumn find out who is behind them and save the next victim?

If you love the Winter Black series then grab Autumn Trent's new novel!

Dr. Autumn Trent is a forensic psychologist.  She appeared in the Winter Black series as Winter's best friend.  She is committed to helping people.  She understands that bad things happen and wants to right those wrongs.  Autumn is a likeable character.  We get to see Winter Black as well.  There is carryover from the last Winter Black book which I believe will continue through this series.  Autumn is sent by the FBI to Oregon where a husband and wife were murdered and their daughter missing.  She is accompanied by a partner in her firm who wants to be her mentor and more.  I read the book in one day.  It is fast-paced and very dark.  I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoyed the Winter Black series.

Should have finished the winter series and stopped. The books are going downhill in quality. I love these characters but the series should be over. Poor plot and the killer was beyond obvious from the beginning.

Another great read by Mary Stone. I enjoyed learning more about Autumn and her friends from the FBI. This was an exciting book and I had a difficult time putting it down. I'm looking forward the the next book!
