never thought id read a documentary in my life, but here we are — not too shabby but wouldn’t reach for that style again. Camila had way more patience and grace for Billy than I would have!!!

I liked it. I really did. They way it was written was so different I enjoyed the multi point of view of a single event. But I found I had to put it down after every couple chapters so it took me longer to finish than expected.

As someone who loved Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo a lot, I picked this book up with a lot of expectations in my mind. And while, not everything ticked the box, it was not bad, but the ending felt rushed. Maybe it's the mode of narration that made it feel this way, but, I expected to see a lot more of what happened to Daisy & Billy post the breakup of the band. It felt like TJR tried to include a lot of subplots in one plot & somehow didn't feel like giving them a proper closure. And that's exactly why, it took away 2 stars from my rating. Will probably recommend listening the audiobook rather than getting the paperback or hardcover as readers who listened audiobook has a lot good to say about it.

Stunning. Absolutely stunning. Im not really good at putting my thoughts to words and all i can say is stunning. Theres something so amazing about Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing. She knows exactly what to say to makes you feel all sort of things. Like Evelyn Hugo, she makes you loves the most complex and flawed characters. And makes you love the characters because of their complexity and their flaws.

OH MY GOD!?!?

This book was absolutely amazing! From the moment I picked this up I could not put it down. It usually takes me a good week or 2 to finish a standard 400 pages book but this literally took 3 days as it was so interesting and I was intrigued after every chapter.

After reading the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo last year I just had to read it this year. It was not as amazing as Evelyn Hugo, however, the characters were amazingly built and the plot was just perfect in this book. I did have a bit of trouble at the start with liking the character of Daisy, however, she progressed to be someone I could deeply relate to and symphysis with and I’ve learnt that you don’t need to particularly like a character in order to see their value within the story
