Not really “a new epic” as the description claims. I definitely wouldn’t rank this alongside Circe or Song of Achilles.

Things started off well but portions of the book dragged on and I grew bored with Ariadne (the work and the character). I finally got to the end and wondered how this counts as a feminist retelling.

I liked this. Everyone knows what this book has to offer: mythology from the woman’s perspective. But the writing made it for me, and I loved reading Ariadne and Phaedra’s story.

If I could get a Theseus shaped punching bag, that'd be great.

I AM IN LOVE WITH GREEK MYTHOLOGY RETELLINGS. Jennifer Saint writes "Aridane" with such beauty and grace, it is really hard to put down. If you are looking for books / or authors who are similar to the literary legend that is Madeline Miller than you need to read this book. There really isn't enough good things I can say about this book. You need to run to your nearest book store and pick up this stunning story.
