I'm so glad that Nynaeve and Lan have a healthy relationship, because everyone else's romantic arcs got extremely toxic. I'm all for good polyamory but this Rand has a harem, with two of the women barely even knowing each other. Also somehow the gal he's had the least amount of sex with, who has the highest noble position of course, is miraculously pregnant. Woof. The ending battle to cleanse the power (which feels like the only solid thing that moved the plot forward) is told through so many jumbled perspectives I'm still not sure who's actually still alive. All the pages spent describing Mat's clothes earlier on could have been cut to make room for a more rewarding ending. There were some glimmers of hope that kept this above one start. But barely.
