I very much enjoyed the photography in this cookbook- for me it was the highlight of the book.

I tried very hard to get into the author's viewpoint but it just didn't work for me. I believe Jessica Robinson is a truly good person but her tone didn't resonate with me. It felt as if her overly bright voice was talking at me rather than to me. I'm not going to lie, her excessive cheerfulness and country girl attitude was a little too much which is strange because I genuinely believe in all the things she talked about: resourcefulness, hard work, strong families, fresh food that's served when in season.

As for the recipes, they sounded good- I am tempted to try out the sour dough bread recipe. However, my family just isn't the sweet bread/dessert type so most of the other recipes are wasted on us.

Repetitive and uninspired.
