(I listened to the Audible version)
I don't usually listen to thrillers but I likes the cover and description so I gave it a chance and I'm glad I did.
I thought Jill was right and there was something wrong with their marriage, however I never saw it coming.
It does seem a bit slow at some point but I kept listening and I was not disappointed.
I didn't like the narrators accent at first but then I got used to it, also her tone and speed are ok, I listen at 1.5 and I was able to understand her just fine.

- I had fully expected some sort of revenge plot, or at least a hidden motive for Bridget to marry Tom
- I feel the book needed to explore Bridget’s and Tom’s time together more so that it could be more believable that they actually loved each other (if that's even possible).
- om’s mom (Jill) hates Bridget (Jesse’s mom) because she believes that Tom was “wrongly accused” (when Tom definitely killed Jesse and he confessed to it) of Jesse’s death. Instead of Jill feeling remorse for her son's wrongdoing and placing herself in Bridget’s shoes she blamed Bridget for not raising Jesse correctly and of his rage. I’m still trying to wrap my head around that
There was no thrill in this book. The only psychological part of this book is me trying to mentally process why as a mother would I marry my son's killer.

I am quite enjoying these K.L. Slater books lately! They are nice little reads with some good twists, and this one was no different. Of course I thought I had it figured out, but not quite, and then one final little twist at the very end!
