Kenzie Cade is a new author to me.

I enjoyed this story of second chances, however I do feel it would have benefited from being longer. I wanted more time with the boys while they reconnected in the first week. And I don't know what it was but I felt I needed something extra before they tumbled into bed. I guess what I'm saying is parts of this story felt rushed.

Also I didn't see the point of having the last chapter as an epilogue. It took place later on in the same day as the end of the previous chapter. I had been expecting it to be a Christmas in their future (because it was a epilogue), maybe them arriving for their wedding or hosting their first family Christmas at Hummingbird House.

I will definitely be checking out more stories by this author in the future.

Beautiful, sweet romance nugget. Trent is back in EnglaND to claim the house his grandmother left him. He dreads running into Callum, a boy he spent summers with when Trent and his grandmother visited. Something happened many years ago and Trent is still deeply hurt. Told simply but elegantly in flashbacks, we learn snout Callum and trent but more importantly we hear about Astrid, trents grandmother. A lovely tale of Xmas and familY and recognizing you are not alone with a bit of hotness thrown in. Great holiday story.
