Kristy’s Big Day is a pretty cute story; however, I don’t feel like the events that transpired in this story would happen in 2022. The premise is that Kristy’s mom is getting married and they have a week to get everything situated. A bunch of relatives and friends show up along with their children. The five babysitters, who are only twelve years old, are left in charge of fourteen kids for the whole week watching them from 9-5. The girls are creative and are able to walk to most places in their neighborhood to keep the kids entertained and the story definitely depicts what it is like babysitting when kids are crying, unhappy, or being naughty. I liked it and thought the whole story was fun. Can’t wait for the next one!

BSC re-read as a 32 year old #6...

SERIOUSLY, WHO IS LETTING A TROUPE OF 12 YEAR OLDS LOOK AFTER 14 BABIES, TODDLERS AND CHILDREN?!

Tis not one of my favourites, but the wedding traditions were nice to read about. I also love the fact that the BSC is run by a group of problem solvers - 14 kids? No worries, we'll divide them up, colour code them and get on with our day.

I definitely wished I was a bit more capable and self assured like club members when I was their age!

Oh nostalgia....

This was actually still as funny as I remember it being as a kid though.

These BSC graphic novels continue to be just adorable. Gale Galligan does a wonderful job of updating the plot for modern times while still keeping the heart of the story. She took a book in which lots of things are happening with different characters at once and figured out how to portray it well. My only minor complaint is that Nannie's car isn't pink. . .

I think this artist did a much better job this time around verses Dawn and the Impossible Three. I had my reservations with that one, because, well, RAINA TELGEMEIER did the first four! How can anyone compare? But Galligan definitely did Book 6 justice! So cute, and the wedding scenes were beautiful.

I again really love diving back into this series thought this graphic media, I loved the twist in this that focus on kristy mom wedding and so many kids. It was just a fun read and one that i tackled in such a short amount of time. I really loved how this book focused on friendship and just summer fun. I really also enjoy the art style and am so excited to keep reading!
