Il mio primo pensiero è stato "che peccato non aver visto questa guerra dal punto di vista di una donna". La guerra prima, la guerriglia poi, sono temi già logori nella letteratura di guerra. Al tempo stesso però mi rendo conto che questa guerra, nello specifico, aveva bisogno di una voce che la raccontasse per la prima volta: una storia dimenticata che aveva bisogno di un osservatore in presa diretta che al fronte poteva essere solo un uomo. è un racconto doloroso e che indulge nel dolore; Crocetti, nella quarta di copertina, lo definisce Il Guerra e Pace della letteratura greca moderna. Ma non ha lo stesso respiro, non ha lo stesso "scopo" - ma a me ha ricordato molto l'impietosa schiettezza di Addio alle Armi.

Ένα καταπληκτικό βιβλίο που πιστεύω ότι πρέπει να διαβάσει όλη η ανθρωπότητα. Τα πράγματα που συνέβησαν στους ανθρώπους του βιβλίου δεν πρέπει να ξαναεπαναληφθουν.
