This bool was amazing, so well written and beautiful that I ended up suffering for the death of a character I didn’t know I would like ahem Mathias ahem
I enjoyed the found family trope, I loved the characters, who where all flawed and loveable, and fought so hard.
I specially enjoyed the ending with Inej and Kaz, two people who loved each other and know themselves enough to know they wouldn’t be good for each other trying to have a romantic relationship, and decided to tale care of each other in different way. I think that was the healthiest decision they could have made

Reread review: This book is a fantastic end to the Six of Crows duology. While the first book balanced plot development and character development, this book is more heavily skewed in the favor of character backstory and deepening the relationships between the Crows, and that honestly works out for the best. Kazans, Inez, Jesper, Nina, Matthias, and Wylan are all at their best in this novel and they truly feel like a team.
Ketterdam is the biggest character in this book however, with most of the action taking place in the city itself, this novel feels almost like an exploration into the city of Ketterdam and I wasn't complaining bc this city is by far the most captivating one in the Grishaverse.
My only criticism is that the pace of this book is a bit slow at times and the heists weren't *as* interesting as the ones from the first book, which dropped it by a 1/2 star for me. Overall though, because of my love for the characters & the ending, I rounded it up on GR to 5 stars.
