If I hadn’t seen SO MANY TikTok recommendations for this book because it’s was really dark and twisted and messed up, I would have liked this a lot more. I was expecting Hills Have Eyes backwoods family gore but it was just your average thriller. Instead I got a lot of problematic backwoods hillbilly family. There was barely any gore, the cannibalism was not discussed enough, it was just “we eat people”

This was sensational! This just delivered blow after shocking and unbelievable blow. I did feel like one major part of the ending was a tad rushed but other than that I have no faults here.

⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love a good horror story and this one definitely held up to being truly twisted. Fair warning, harm to people and animals through out. This story follows 19 year old Michael Morrow, his corrupt family and the horrors that transpire at their isolated farmhouse tucked away in the Appalachian Mountains. There are enough disturbing turns to keep you flipping through the pages, and, oh brother, that plot twist at the end. I don’t think this book is for everyone, but if you like the dark and twisty, this one may be for you.
