Really enjoyed that this book was able to be dark and twisted and straight up gross; without filling every page with torture corn! I was really surprised how much I liked and was rooting for one of the characters! This does have a lot of dark themes and was a bit predictable. I did have it figured out before the Galway mark. However I still think it was done creatively. Held my attention and made me want to keep turning the page! I will say this is NOT going to be for everyone!

Wow, this book did absolutely nothing for me. After hearing horror tiktok sing the praises of this book for years and talk about how dark and disturbing it was, I guess I was just expecting some more. This book bumbled along for 80% of it making me wonder what the point was, and had a twist in the last bit that made it slightly more satisfying but by no means made up for the rest of the book. This is probably disturbing if you don’t read horror but for me there were a few points where I was like “oh gross” but that was about it. Some parts were interesting but overall I feel like this book lacked substance and was written with a heavy hand. I wish I could see what everyone else seems to be seeing in this book but I just didn’t.
