So far, I have not read a book of Ilsa Madden-Mills that I have not liked! The story, & the chemistry between Delaney & Maverick is so adorable & perfect! & I love the bonfire legend at the beginning, that was sweet. And ofcourse I love all the Star Wars references. Lol

There's something about most Ilsa Madden mills books that have good writing but plotlines i must dislike.
First off, the heroine sneezes when nervous. It gave "Dark Side of the Moon" (dark hunters by Sherilyn Kenyon) vibes (heroine is allergic to hero). The secrecy. Why. I wouldn't have forgiven him.
Not entirely on topic but if i were a random person in the bar where they fucked in the bathroom, i would be terrified to ever enter public toilets. Those ppl are a menace to society and should not run wild. (Same goes for his alcoholic father that cannot uphold a responsibility to save his life.)

Also off topic but despicable:
  • The gender essentialism. What on earth is a "male" scent? Sweat? But no, he smelled male and of sweat.
  • Demonizing and villanizing one woman who coincidentally sleeps around. And all this time, she had a pot hairstyle in my head.
