The main character is Red. We spend a lot of time in her head which I personally found slowed the narrative down, as we deal with her inner turmoil as she battles with not only the guilt over the death of her mother years ago as well as the secret that she's been told to tell no-one.
But her friends lives hang in the balance, and it turns out she's not the only one with a deep dark secret. Would have been a 4 star read if we had had switched perspectives a little but other than that a solid read.

That being said, I was not a fan of Red as a character and didn’t feel connected to her at all. All of her forgetful, scatterbrained-ness didn’t seem to be helpful to building her as a character and seemed only to be used as plot mechanism more than anything else.

Thecentral mystery was interesting, but treated as a B plot. The main plot -- the teens trapped in the RV -- became much more annoying in light of the actual circumstances.
All in all, not bad, but I would have loved to borrow this from the library instead of using an Audible credit.
