This book is excellent – really, really good. I enjoyed every one of the short stories. I’ve read Stephen King off and on, a book here, a book there, but this is the first book of his that I’ve really loved.

When a book gets your heart pumping and your eyes glued onto the page, it's a good one. Excellent, excellent, reminded me why I fell in love with Stephen King back when I was a young 'un.

I wonder how many writers can withstand the test of their reader's inevitable age and maturity?

Just After Sunset by Stephen King

This was the first King book I had ever read and I was pleasantly surprised. Each story was interesting and good to read. My favourite was the story about a 9/11 survivor. It was poignant and intriuging. Collections of short stories are a great way to start King because if you don't enjoy a story, you know there's another one round the corner.

This was a very middle of the road collection of stories. Except for the last one, which is shitty. Some were good, some bad, mostly they were okay.
