Solid characterisation, decent worldbuilding, fun tropes. Also had a good mystery going on.

The love interest is such a simp for her I love it šŸ˜‚
Loved reading such healthy communication around intimacy in a romance book!

This is a fantasy romance between a werewolf and a vampire, who are wed in order to create a peaceful alliance between traditional enemies. There is also a mystery regarding the main characterā€™s best friend who is missing without a trace. There is very graphic sex, including mild kink. There were several joking references to suicide and self harm.

Super fun, a great story and interesting world-building. I really appreciate that Hazelwood stepped away from the typical a bit when writing Lowe (Alpha Were). We love enthusiastic consent!

A really fun romantasy that doesn't take itself too seriously (hello knotting joke in the dedication šŸ¤£)

10/10 would recommend.

Iā€™m a big fan of the fantasy genre so I just had to read a vampire + werewolf romantasy! Loved her other book, The Love Hypothesis šŸ˜ so I just had to read this one next. Literally listened to 80% of the book in one day because I was obsessed with this storyline and well the šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ˜. I didnā€™t see some of those plot twists coming either!  Note: I listened to the audiobook & the voice actors did a good job

The only good thing I can say is that it is more original than her other work. Otherwise I was not a fan, personally.

Okie dokie. This book was odd. I didnā€™t dislike it but at the same time I donā€™t think it resonated with me. The story was fun andā€¦ interesting šŸ˜³, but the romance wasnā€™t romancing for me the way I think it was supposed to.

I KNOW this is a vampire book BUT Iā€™m weird about needles and IVs and stuff and since blood drinking was a big part of the romantic plot I was unfortunately literally heavily and embarrassingly gagging through a lot of their romantic scenesā€¦. I wish this was a joke.

The story itself was quite fun though! I really enjoy Ali Hazelwoodā€™s humour and her incredibly intelligent writing style! It was a good palette cleanser book and a good wee mystery!

FUN OVERALL BUT I GUESS IM NOT AS TEAM EDWARD AS I THOUGHT I WAS! DAMMIT ALL TO HELL!
