There’s never been a man more in love than Lowe Moreland when he’s with Misery Lark.

It’s hard to believe there was a time I was anything but an Ali Hazelwood fan. I’ve never been more glad I gave an author a second chance because if I hadn’t, I wouldn’t have read this.

Bride is a politically arranged marriage between a Were and Vampyre, which is also omegaverse. If you don’t know what that is, Ali’s gonna explain it for you. This was THE book to end my book slump.

The plot is well crafted, the romance even better, and oh my god, the TENSION. There’s never been a man more in love than Lowe Moreland when he’s with Misery Lark.

I hope there’s going to be another book in this world after that ending! Bride stands on its own entirely, but I’d love to see more books from Ali in this genre.

This was way out of my element for me. The story was interesting enough to keep me reading, the romance was a bit much. I enjoy the themes of cryptids that walk amongst regular people in present day. The political maneuvering had some unique takes that piqued my interest. At the end of the day though, it truly is an enemy to lovers book, with some heavy romance. You're interests will probably differer from me there.

I thought I was mad for picking up a book about a Were-Vampyre marriage that included knotting (oh lord) but I was surprised about how much this book provided just the right amount of everything: love, sex, mystery, species “war”, family and friendship.

A good pick-me-up for anyone in a reading slump.
