Okay, but imagine this story without Cassie. WAY better.
I liked Lore's story, especially the parts that were in Mexico. Without the rest, this would've been an amazing romance. And it's kind of cool that this story works as a whole and when it's divided into smaller stories.

As other reviewers have written, I felt at a huge disadvantage not knowing Spanish and it took away from the story. I got to a point where I simply skipped over the Spanish parts, and probably missed out on a thing or two because of that. I wish they would have footnoted the full phrases or included a glossary or something. It felt true to the characters, but then their conversations with each other would probably have been fully in Spanish, and it didn’t detract by not portraying them that way.
