I thought this was an enjoyable book. I liked getting to know the characters more, and it makes me want to play the campaign again in the game with the background knowledge I now have. I enjoy how the tale interweaves aspects of the Clone Wars, Rogue One, and the Original Trilogy. I enjoyed the infiltration plot line, and the fact we got to see the Inferno Squad team as full Imperials, getting insight into the mindset of a loyal Imperial.

Faszinierend, was passiert, wenn man mal seinen Blickwinkel verändert.

ok so 3 stars but a SOLID 3 stars. I just feel like there could be more to this story. The dreamers had such potential to be cool characters that would have the reader debating whether or not they should be siding with them(as cold and violent as they were) or the Imperials( the good guys in this book?). That being said Golden does a fairly good job in showing the Imperials as having feelings and emotions not just the white helmets we are used too. It is a new side to the Empire and I loved seeing that. Hence the 3 stars. while being an awesome book with lots of new things I cannot help but feel there are some things missing.

This was such a great companion to the game and I love seeing stories from the point of view of empire folks. I was a bit disappointed that the Gideon in this is not Moff Gideon

You know the meme that's gone around for a while, about how the Rebels really committed a terrorist attack by blowing up the Death Star? This book basically takes that idea and runs with it. Iden Versio survives the destruction of the first Death Star, and subsequently is placed onto an elite special forces team tasked with infiltrating the Dreamers, a rebel terrorist cell.

This is another new canon Star Wars novel which has focused on the Empire's side of the story. It also explored a darker and more extremist side of the Rebellion that was briefly touched on in Rogue One. You will grow attached to some characters, but also feel torn when you see what their actions and thought processes entail.

I really enjoyed Janina's narration of the audiobook, and am excited to learn more about Inferno Squad's story during the Battlefield 2 single player campaign. I highly recommend you read (or listen) to this book if you plan on playing the game, but it is also a succinct story in its own right if you don't plan on it.
