And for the first time in forever, a wildly unfamiliar emotion overwhelmed him. Hope.

It had potential, it really did. The Beauty & the Beast aspects were done quite well, and the ptsd was written beautifully, but overall the plot felt rushed and the steamy scenes didn't fit the tone of the novel.

Honestly - the day I read a Nicola Davidson book and don't gush about it hasn't arrived yet! I adore everything about this. Gabriel is gorgeous and wonderful and scarred - inside and out - and so wants to be loved. I also adored watching Lillian - Lili - come out of her shell and reclaim her personality and fight with her heart. She is soft and steel and I adored it.
