This was an excellent book. It is the opposite of traditional chic lit novels in that it is written from a mans point of view and he desperately wants a child. Dave finds out, by being a teenage magazine columnist, that he has a daughter he never knew about. It is a great story that kept me on my feet and always wanting more. It was a great quick read.

After a long slump this was just the book I needed. It is perfect for reading alongside a busy schedule the short chapters make it so easy to pick up and put down regularly without losing the storyline. The story itself was entertaining all throughout and I would definitely recommend.

I picked this book up quite hastily for the challenge 2000 in Bound Together. It was very light and engaging with very short chapters that had me finishing it much sooner than expected. Romantic drama from a selfless man's perspective was a new perspective though not enlightening or anything. I cringed to see him making the choices that I knew would gt him into trouble. Overall everything that happens is fairly typical or cliche but the book is quite enjoyable regardless.

Dave Harding has what most people would call the perfect life. A great wife, a good home and a job he enjoys. However, things begin to take a turn for the worst when Dave's company goes bust and he is hired to work for a teen magazine.
One letter suddenly gives him an even bigger problem that he never thought he would be faced with - Teenager Nicole is convinced that Dave is her father.
This novel was a brilliant read with an honest male POV which was funny at points but also extremely refreshing to read. This book mainly revolved around themes of family reconnection which were heartfelt and touching, but also delves into the more mature theme of miscarriages and how this can affect both a relationship and an individual.

Mike Gayle's usual charm and wit mixed with heartwarming characters in strange situations. This guy is awesome. Simple as.

I thought this was okay, it wasn't my favourite Mike Gayle book. I liked the characters and their relationships, especially the opposite sex friendships with no romantic intentions, and while I liked the plot I thought it took ages to get into it considering the blurb informs you of most of it.
