I don’t know why I always save emotionally devastating books for when my own heart feels fragile, but this was such a balm for the soul. I really loved Archer’s story, and Bree was such a wonderful support for him. While told mostly in Bree’s POV, this is very much Archer’s book.

I found all the plot and character beats believable, some of the side characters are a bit one note but I didn’t really mind this while reading as they don’t take much away from the main story.

If you like small town romance, if you like broken MCs who are looking to put themselves back together again - this is for you.

The beginning is kinda slow but other than that the storyline keeps you locked it. Archers childhood is rough but he is sweet, caring, vulnerable man that with have you think 'husband material'. <Be prepared to hate Travis in this book >. I would recommend this book

“Someday … when we're old and gray, I'm going to look at you lying in bed beside me, just like this, and I'm going to look into your eyes and know that it's only ever been you. And that is going to be the great joy of my life.”

one of the most pure & beautiful love stories i've ever read. great dual pov, strong plot, lovable characters, everything perfect.
imo, it's much more than a love story about two wounded souls that healed each other, but also an introspective perspective of life, from two different people with different demons and backgrounds finding themselves in what they are and standing out in a loving community.
i had written a bigger review on this but i accidentally deleted it, however, i just want to say it did make me tear up a couple times, i LOVED the extended epilogue & the extra pov chapter and to finish up, a warning for everyone who might feel triggered, please check out the book's trigger warnings, take care everyone <3
