This was fascinating to listen to. I think this was well-researched and well-written.

I listen to and watch a lot of true crime but somehow missed this one for quite some time so this is the first thing I listened to about it. I am so glad this was the first Murdaugh content I encountered.
Mandy’s personal account of her life and her reporting on the case was fascinating to me. I couldn’t stop listening even though I knew the outcome of the most recent court case. I really appreciated the lense she had talking about her life and her work instead of just the gruesome facts of the cases.
I think there needs to be a huge reckoning with true crime content and how to ethically produce it or engage with it. This book did a great job of sharing information about the crimes and cases without sensationalizing it.

A memoir and true crime book by the definitive podcaster on the Murdaugh family cases. About her journey to covering the Murdaughs and through the current time in the cases.
I enjoyed this though I wasn't expecting as much of a memoir on her journalistic life as it was. I've always enjoyed her voice, so the "vocal fry" didn't bother me.
Overall, it is a great look at her journey with a focus on the Murdaugh part of it.
