A stunning end to a stunning trilogy. What a journey! As she's done throughout the series, Phèdre pushes through horrors with endless courage and compassion. Imriel is a welcome addition to the cast. Phèdre's story has at last come to a close, and I look forward to seeing how the world expands through Imriel's perspective in the following books.

A great finale to the series. Hard to read some parts, but worth it overall.

It has the same flaws as the previous book. Too repetitive even worse so. Multiple times throughout the book we hear the same thing. How Ysandre bravely entered the City of Elua, how Severio wanted to marry Phèdre, etc

And when will Phèdre character will grow, when Melisande is involved? It was ridiculous in the second book, but here it's even worse, considering previous events.

"I thought of Hyacinthe", but how he can compete with Melisande?! Screw him and let him suffer another ten-hundred years...

I wonder if Melisande by her own hands will cut Joscelin's throat in front of Phèdre. How fast she will forgive her for that and jump in her bed?

And she truly loves Joscelin, that's why she never tells him anything, never discusses her plans, and keeping him in the dark.

The final book in Phedre's story is my favorite part because pace of the story is quicker than before. Although our heroine is more mature, her ideas and plans are daring and outrageous as before so it was very interesting to follow the story
Spoiler of a search for a lost prince and a God's true name

I have loved this series so much, re-reading them over and over. This book always gets to me. This is by far the most taboo of the books in the series, testing even my gut for fiction. I enjoyed it though, in the end.

Jocelyn is my favorite character and he certainly bring it in this book. I feel bad for him sometimes, he often has to do a lot of the leg work in the sticky situations Phedre gets herself stuck in.

I always get a little bit bored after the excitment in the first half of the book but the ending picks up and I adore Hyacinth.
