Fairly predictable haunted house story, I enjoyed it but mainly because I haven’t read a haunted house story in a while.

Creepy

Since October is all about Halloween, it seemed fitting to read some creepy books. Found this one and the synopsis definitely screamed “creepy”

The book itself is well written. It’s stressful and kept me on the edge of my seat. I could totally envision this book as a movie. I read primarily at bedtime and, although this book is short, it took me several nights to read because I didn’t like being scared so much right before sleep!

The problem for me is it was too creepy - lol - for real. I do not like books which have dead children and children spirits in them. If I had known this was part of the storyline I would have said “nope” * shudders *

Glad this ones over. If you like demons and things undead and unhappy, give this one a read.

This was a delightful horror read. This guy and his wife return to his hometown and uncover things about his past and present (unknown to him at the time). Weird stuff happens involving possession and the end opens itself to a second book (but in a way that you still felt some semblance of closure from this first one).

Overall not mad this one made it's way into my Sunday routine.

Boring. Ok writing but the supernatural shit that happens was just too unbelievable. I did not care about the characters and did not finish. Life too short to read stuff you don't give a damn about.
