As always Ruby delivers. While this was not my favorite book of hers, nor my favorite of the two books now in this series, I liked it plenty.

Skarr was amazing and I loved him to pieces. Vivi was meh. Seeing more Ashtar will always be my favorite part of any new books! And there could never, ever be enough talk of TATERS, lets be real! They're always a highlight of all the books.

Way better than the last books ruby has been putting out. Tbh I dnfed the ice home finally but I trusted the author to come back to this series.

The characters were a breath of fresh air. I enjoyed how different they are. Maybe it’s just me but I like the MMC being unlikable and arrogant and just painfully full of himself. It gave mystery to how they’ll end up together.

Pleasantly Surprised

I was really hesitant going into this book. I never truly disliked one of the Not Hoth Characters until Skarr was introduced. So I wasn’t super thrilled to start this one. But I actually really enjoyed it.

It’s easier to like someone who is truly so unlikeable once you are inside their mind. Skarr and Vivi’s dynamic was very interesting. The shy anxious introvert to the strong arrogant loud mouth. But it worked really really well.

I can’t wait to read Tia’s story once it is released later this year. It has been a LONG time coming.
