I wanted to get my hands on Avery and Emmett’s book since the beginning of this series. Ruthless King fell a bit short with my high anticipation.The reason for their past breakup and that caused so much damage between them so I wanted a good reason and in the end I wasn’t a bit fan of it.
Miscommunication is something I don't like that as conflict because I hate that a wait for characters just sit down and have a normal conversation especially when they clearly love each other.I really enjoyed this romance, Avery and Emmet have great chemistry. The characters are interesting, well-developed and written, I truly felt for them.If you are fan of second chance romances, like I'm definitely Ruthless King a try.

I absolutely loved this book!!! We first met Emmett and Avery in THE KINGS OF RITTENHOUSE
but all these books can be read as a standalone, I immediately wanted to know more about them!

So this is a second chance romance that is filled with drama, angst and a deep rooted love this is filled with secrets and misunderstandings.
My voice was biting and caustic. “You were my dream, Avery. It was you!” My hands were on the side of her face, the rough pads of my fingers pressed against her cheeks. I wanted to curse her one second and take her to bed the next.
“I didn’t need any of it. I didn’t want any of it. All I needed was you.”
They were torn apart by one of those misunderstandings. Years later they are thrown together and omg i felt the tension between them!!! They finally have a chance to make things right. When all the secrets and misunderstandings are talked about I literally broke down crying!!! This book is packed full of emotions and omg in my opinion the best book in the series ( all the others were great too but I felt closer to Em and Aves) I highly recommend this book! If you love second chance romance then you will definitely love this story!!!

Not my fav of The series
Unfortunately I just want a fan of emmett , he irritates me so much and I never felt like he redeemed himself. He was just a petulant rich brat !Also, I felt like it was very long winded.
Having said that, I do enjoy the gang and will read more.

This was my first book from this author, but this will definitely not be my last read from her. I didn't have any trouble jumping right into this story and not having read any previous books. That being said, I will definitely be going back to read the others. I so fell in love with these characters, even the side characters and I hope they all get their own stories. I love the angst and the second chance storyline. I couldn't put this down. I am definitely looking forward to more.

I both loved and disliked this book. The author does a great job with the characters and storyline but the reason for this break-up was frustrating, to say the least. Miscommunication is a huge issue for me. Especially, when it happens in a relationship that is supposedly so strong and filled with love and trust. That being said, I was invested enough that I needed to keep reading in order to see how it all played out. That speaks volumes of the author's ability.
She got me again with the ending because I need to know the next story now.
