This book was definitely a surprise! I was expecting a light YA read, and instead I got a YA read with hidden depths. I love fake dating stories, and I thought this was done well - I really liked the way that the relationship developed between Nati & William. Over this time, some pretty serious issues are discussed between the pair - accepting your heritage as part of who you are, the pressure of being in the public eye & always having to be “on”, and many others. I thought the discussions were mature and handled well. However, at times I did think that the characters acted older than the 17 year olds they were supposed to be - it really felt that they should have been early 20s. Aside from that, this was a really sweet book that I’m glad to have read.

More queer romcoms with a heart like this, please! Funny, so sincere, and such hilarious payoff of the fake boyfriend trope. This author is an auto-buy for me.

this was a really cute read! i devoured this in a day and i thought the romance between the mc and the love interest was adorable. i also liked how this book talks about staying true to yourself and your identity in hollywood.

This was the cutest book everrrr
The fake dating and the romance in this had me squealing and squeaking. The growth of the Main Character was everything too!! I loved it so much. My fave so far of the year. Gonna have to get myself a physical copy

This was a cute romance. A bit of wokeness, but overall a fun read and I appreciated the emphasis on how toxic social media can be.

this was everything I hoped it would be. it was fun, cute, warm, uplifting and unafraid to call out the crap hollywood puts its stars through. it's tropey in the BEST way (hello fake dating and there's only one bed). the friendships were EVERYTHING, the romance adorable and the casual bi rep was wonderful to see. I also absolutely loved Nati's journey with her Latinx and Brazilian identity. basically, this book has everything you could want in a ya romcom and now I'm desperate for a brenda x padma companion book please.

I feel like the characters changed a little too quickly and the romance needed a big more time for that ending but this was still cute. More excited about her 2022 release now.

I should start this by saying I am an absolute sucker for all things romance and all things with celebrities so when you mix them together, that’s my favorite thing. This book was super cute and quick. I liked both of the main characters and I love fake dating. I loved Nati growing into her own and getting to rebrand herself the way that she wanted to and not how others did. This book is a lot about growing into your own and finding who you are with some really cute romantic parts as well! This was a cute read and honestly this cover is one of my favorites of the year! Simply stunning I must add
