*NOTE* I will be reading each story in between other ARC reads, the date of when I read them & what star rating I have given will be included and updated with each story from the anthology that I read.

-Autumn Curses by K.O. Newman (5 stars), Read between September 19th-26th:

K.O.Newman was fast becoming a new favourite author of mine after I dived in reading her book, Reclaiming Psyche, in the February of 2019. Followed by Secret Omega, Christmas Nibbles Anthology (written with other authors), Malachai (like, oof!), and now most lately, Soul of the Chaos co-written with Miri Stone.

Her writing style has only gone on from strength to strength since my first read of hers (Reclaiming Psyche), which is reflected in her work 'Autumn Curses' in this specially steamy, Halloween Anthology co-written with other authors. She has moved on from the basic premise of what 'paranormal romance' is usually defined by, and has risen to the likes of established authors in terms of her steamy content, juicy storylines and tropes to drool over. If I thought things were collar-pulling hot in Soul of the Chaos, I was sorely mistaken! Autumn Curses takes things to a whole new level and the Halloween twist makes it oh so much better!

Not first to jump into the paranormal genre, K.O.Newman has once more done a brilliant job of keeping me focused, enthralled, entertained and gripped throughout her story. She continues to change my mind and outlook on both paranormal and now halloween-based romances, as her storytelling--as shown with this read--is just as enjoyable as my usual go-to tropes and genres. I was even kind of sad to be turning the las digital page of her story, I wanted more!

Autumn Cross is a shifter romance (which I have now come back to as a genre thanks to K.O.Newman), that will re-engage fans of the genre/trope, as well as hopefully bring potential new readers into the fold. The story is as amazing as its author, equally lovable, enjoyable and a thrill to get to know. Fenrir and Sophie were just a -chefs kiss-, perfect pair to fall in love with, pun intended, and I wouldn't mind a spin-off full-length novel with them in it. Just saying!

Topping it all off and for the best of reasons, if you wanted the definition of s.m.u.t, you've got it right here! I've read my fair share of books with steam and smut, with very few actually making my cheeks feel like they were on fire, but Autumn Curses lit those flames and then some.

Watch this space, K.O.Newman is going places!
