4.5 star. The things I loved about it I really loved but there were some things I wish hadn’t been in the book too. Loved the little plot twist towards the end too. Overall I just love Elle Kennedy books.

There are two kinds of romance readers in the world: the ones who love an epilogue and the ones who don't. If you know me at all, you know I fall solidly, enthusiastically into the first category. So, a second gen series, which is basically one giant epilogue? Count me in. And a second gen series where the first book features the daughter of Hannah Wells and Garrett Graham from The Deal by @ellekennedy33, which is the book single handedly responsible for introducing me to my Hockey Romance Era? SAY LESS BESTIE.

The Graham Effect was one of my most anticipated reads of 2023, and as a second gen series, boy did it deliver. We got a peek at Hannah and Garrett together (still wildly in love!), a "Wellsy" nickname drop, some solid Garrett Being Garrett ("don't you know I'm Garrett Graham?"), some Dean di Laurentis hijinks (the giant box of condoms

When Elle Kennedy announced that she was releasing a book with Garrett and Hannah’s daughter and we’d be going back to Briar U campus, I was beyond excited.

this book was everything I hoped for and more

I loved The Off-Campus/Briar-U series so being able to go back into this universe with my favorite characters and reading about their children made my heart explode. This book was chefs kiss.

Gigi was funny, sassy, and I loved her relationship with her parents and with Ryder. I absolutely adored their first interaction. Gigi humbling Ryder was the funniest moment on the planet.

Ryder was so caring and understanding and just wonderful. I loved how, yes he wanted Gigi to put in a good word to her dad but he also didn’t treat her differently because of who her dad was. It was great to watch them fall in love and watch their friendship grow.

The only qualm I have about the book was what happens towards the end of the book. Listen, I was expecting something else entirely different than what actually happened. The gasp I let out when it was revealed was unreal. I had to set my book down to real grasp what I just read. I really don’t think it was necessary for the story, but it’s not a deal breaker for me.

Other than that, this book was fantastic and I can’t wait for the rest of the series.

It was sooooo cute! I was kicking my feet! The ending was super abrupt though. Didn’t like that much.

I… I just didn’t expect it to be this good. I loved Gigi and Ryder, both of them where chef’s kiss and together they were perfect, they made sense and I loved that. I’m in love of Ryder btw, hands down and also Gigi wasn’t far behind, she’s everything.
