This was an enjoyable read with typical Lucy Score drama, but enough unrealistic stuff to drop my rating a little. I mean who moves in with and shares a bed with a guy they just met?!

it took a minute to adjust to the 3rd person writing and a bit longer than usual to connect to the characters but i love harper so much, sheโ€™s an awesome human and i love how fierce she is.
i was not a fan of her violating lukeโ€™s most painful traumas. whilst he should have already told her what had happened sometimes it takes time to let down those walls and open up, and although i would also want to snoop so badly it just felt wrong when she did that. that being said luke was a dumbass for refusing to admit that he obviously loved her but i understand the reasons behind why he was being like that. the 3rd act breakup was way more painful than i was expecting and the proposal through acts of service and words of affirmation at the end brought tears to my eyes.
i loved this little town and i love aldo and gloria so much and canโ€™t wait to read their book.

She had called a lot of places home, but it was for the lack of a better word. She never really felt at home anywhere.

She laughed a lot. It was a sound that warmed him up. A sound that made him realise how quiet his life had become before. A sound that made him wonder why he had valued the silence so much.

โ€œFact is, I just donโ€™t have room in my life for her.โ€
โ€œYouโ€™ve got the room; youโ€™re just too chickenshit to make it.โ€

โ€œI wanted to be memorable.โ€
โ€œBaby, it would take more than all the time in the world for me to forget you.โ€

โ€œYou canโ€™t put your worth in someone elseโ€™s hands like that . . . Whether you mean something to him or not has nothing to do with how inherently valuable you are.โ€

The whole book is basicly the mmc saying he doesn't love the fmc and getting mad at her for 'taking over his life'. While the fmc just accepts that without groveling one bit from the mmc.

One of my least favorite Lucy Score books (I love most of them) because it felt like the main man did not have to do much to win back the girl that fell in love wayyyy to quickly and put up with pretty much anything from him

Overall a good book, but Luke really got on my nerves for most of it
