First of all, there's an awkward moment where you realize you totally forgot to "currently reading" on here as soon as you finish the book and come to add "mark as finished" *face palm and eye roll*

ANYWAY, I do have to say, for my first Nina Manning book, it was an interesting read. It did drag on near the end and did have a couple of good twists. I'll definitely try another of her books later/some other day to get a feel for her. Other than that, it was interesting and pretty good story.

Sasha and Caitlin come from different worlds but met when they were kids as Sasha’s parents worked as housekeeper/groundsman for Caitlin’s family. The relationship between the two girls has always had an interesting power dynamic but now Caitlin is getting married and Sasha is determined to prove her worth and be the best bridesmaid she can possibly be.

The only issue is Sasha’s been keeping secrets from both her partner and Caitlin and as the wedding day looms closer they threaten to be revealed.

Overall, I’ve got to be honest I didn’t love this book. I don’t think it is one of Nina Manning’s best. I didn’t think the twist at the end was that exciting (in fact it was really underwhelming and not exactly “worst nightmare” worthy as the book cover suggests. I also didn’t particularly like or relate to any of the main characters.

This book put me to sleep. It was very boring. I liked the time jumps but the story was dull

More of a mystery than a thriller, but the outcome of the mystery was a bit of a let down

This book was such a struggle to get through and didn't grab my attention until after I was halfway through the book. I wanted to finish it just to see where it was going and why all the flash backs where important. Caitlin is so toxic throughout the book and doesn't deserve Sasha or Chuck. I'm glad Sasha was able to finally see Caitlin for who she is and I'm glad that Ava was able to heal.
