I’m gonna call it and say this is the best book I’ve read in 2024. I was booked from the very beginning of this one.

Ive never thought a character should commit suicide but all I could think is that if I was Dean then I would have…. It it never happened. This book was constantly throwing me the unexpected and I couldn’t put it down. 

I feel heartbroken, sad, uncertain… yet happy for the ending. I do hate “8 years later,” type endings but it was very necessary for what this story was and it was. Hard story. This one is not for the faint hearted.

I have no complaints about the writing style but I won't be recommending to friends as I don't think that this type of contemporary romance is for me. Doesn't mean it's not worth reading or not good, just not for me. Absolutely read the TW/CW. This is not a "dark romance", this is dark and a romance.

This is my 2nd time reading this book I read it 2 years ago and I still remebered everything about the book going back in.This book has left a lasting impact on me. I can't believe how powerful it is. It completely tore my heart apart and then somehow managed to mend it back together. The emotions in this book are so raw and intense. Dean and Cora's story will forever hold a special place in my heart.

i really enjoyed this book. i listened to the audiobook and was listening any chance that i got. i finished it in, i believe, 3 sittings - would’ve been 1 if i didn’t have other things to do haha

there were some times when cora was feeling confused that i wanted to knock her upside the head LOL but she finally found clarity haha

there definitely are a lot of deep topics in this book, so please take tws seriously

this was my first jennifer hartmann book, but certainly won’t be the last 🤩
