Omg my heart broke so many times reading this. It's a very dark romance and has lots of triggers but I loved reading this I couldn't put it down

Esse dark romance foi de tirar o fôlego. A coisa mais poderosa que você pode fazer por uma pessoa que ama é o sacrifício, o Dean foi excepcional em fazer isso assim que viu uma red flag gritante por parte da Cora.
Não sei quantas vezes chorei lendo mas amei como a autora foi muito responsável. Um trauma realmente pode ser curado e, mesmo não desaparecendo, você se cura com o tempo, muuuuitas sessões de terapia e apoio dos que te amam!

Whoa! After reading all the reviews I am surprised that I even read the book! But everyone has their own experiences....
Now, my take on my own personal experience...I am good with the book. I read it because, I just did. There was no great advertising it on social media and no one recommended the book to me. I read it simply because I ran across it and added it to my e-book tbr.
The fact that Dean and Cora hated each other never even stuck in my head. They had that "i'm bothering you because I like you" vibe from the first page. Was she kind of annoying with all of her quirks and crap? Yup! Did she make me want to punch her in the nose when Dean was pouring his heart out and she was just using him for "scratch an itch" as he put it? Yup! Did I want to reach into the pages and shake her when she kept saying how she wanted something she couldn't have or didn't deserve? We are 3 for 3! But to be honest, it was what it was.
Dean was cool. Do I wish it didnt take a traumatic kidnapping and SA event for him to realize that he and Mandy wasnt going to work? Yea, I did! Was it weird to hear Mandy cheated on him and only admitted it after she slapped her sister for sleeping with her dude? yea a bit but none of that stopped me from finishing the book.
It was hard to read some parts. It was easy to sympathize with others and all in all it was ok. I love a happy ending where everyone got what they wanted and felt they needed in the end.
