really useful, i loved the illustrations and the author's honesty. there wasn't a strong conclusion to the book, but that kind of makes sense - life goes on and our ideas change.

Must read for anyone who wants a glimpse into the self-discovery journey of a non-binary person. Recommend by a gender-questioning friend as it they related very heavily to a lot fo the scenarios/themes.

This memoir written in graphic novel form was raw and emotional, but so beautiful. This is the author's story of working through eir gender and sexuality issues, some of which seem to be yet unresolved. As an allosexual cis person, I really appreciated being able to learn about Maia's experiences as an asexual, non-binary individual. Maia writes with such candor and honesty, even as e mentions several times that e never intended to write eir story at all.

The only small issue I had with this book was that the format seemed somewhat choppy, like we were just jumping from one topic to another without transition. It did make it a little bit tricky to read at times. Some readers may not have this same issue. That said, I think this book is something that everyone could learn from, and would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to learn more about asexuality and gender fluidity.

An incredibly honest and beautiful memoir. It's just so lovely to see someone find themselves in a way that is so outside of the norm, even when their norm was different to begin with. One thing I liked that e shows that even in the most loving, nontraditional families, there are conflicts to coming out and pushing against the expectations that people have of you and how you are supposed to be. And there's just so much love and empathy for everyone in this book. It's just lovely all around.
