I liked this book a lot more than the first. Seeing Alosa be the future Pirate Queen but also showing her Siren heritage and embracing it was fun to see!

I enjoyed this one even more than Daughter of the Pirate King. It has everything I loved about the first book—swashbuckling fun, badass girls, the feeling of being seventeen and invincible—but also does a great job of diving deeper both into the world and Alosa’s characterization. Alosa gains more complexity as she grapples with her personal loyalties and motivations, and I loved getting to know her personal pirate crew. Not to mention, the pirate king makes for a much more interesting (and threatening) villain looming on the horizon.

I truly didn’t want it to end. But I loved the story. The characters and their friendships. Just enough action for me. Would have liked the enemies to lovers to happen a bit faster.

ahhhh.....I freaking LOVED this book! it was such an amazing & fast read. sirens sirens sirens now after this duology I really want to see a siren. the first book introduced us to Alosa's crew and in this book we learned much more about their past and how they came to be a part of Alosa's crew. without a doubt, the second book was the better one in the series! but I have to say I did expect a little bit more fun and action-packed climax from Alosa side, I expected her to kill him! not her mother nonetheless I still adore this book with all my heart!!!!
