there were too many coincidences in the plot, “oh no! both our phones happen to be out of battery at this crucial time!”, stuff like that. the ending was also quite predictable, and there was a plot twist that didn’t make a lot of sense.

THIS BOOK IS SO GOOD! The concept is so interesting and the characters are really believable and quirky. The whole story and the build up to the climax kept me at the edge of my seat. A real page turner. The only thing that bothered me was that there was a bit of a forced romantic subplot, and the book really didn't need it.

I'm not actually sure what I think about this book. I stayed with it till the very end and I really wanted to like but I don't actually think I did. When I first started reading it, I was sure I was hooked but the minute I put it down I actually forgot what it was about and had to go back a page before I remembered, then continued reading. It was a bit forgettable (sorry). I don't know if it was just the writing? The book itself was a brilliant idea. I loved the storyline but it just did not grab me I think the way it was supposed to

I'm actually sitting here and I can't remember the main characters name. I remember her friend's name was called Tack, he was interesting But I enjoyed her more to the end when it felt like things were finally happening, then it finished. There was no closure. I realise there is a second book but it just left you hanging with lots of questions. I normally hate writing reviews like this but I feel well justified in saying this was definitely worth 3 stars. It was OK. I won't be rushing to buy the next book.

I’m writing this review after finishing the trilogy. I can say for sure that these books have some pretty interesting world building and sci-fi features. But I would definitely say that this first book is my favorite of the three. And it’s downhill from here. In order. The third book is an actual mess of everything they try to do. Just wayyyy too much for such a small book. I would highly recommend this first book and moderately recommended the second. But seriously just read a synopsis online of the third.
