Three and a half stars. Al Ewing doing the best he can while trying to tie in to all the damn events Marvel insisted on cramming in.

Tie-in to AXIS event really crippled this collection. Too diluted, too tied into other comics, sometimes it looked more like a vehicle to drive us through some crucial plot points instead of telling compelling story. I also got a feeling that it was not scripted ahead, one of traditional issue-ending cliffhangers led to basically nothing.

An okay read. Sure it is a little lame but it's about an Asgardian, the bar is low for such. But still a straightforward story is preferred. And I am long past done with the Axis story and evil good guys and good evil guys. Though Doom was pretty good in this one. And I like Verity.

Ah, multi-plot tie-ins, how I hate/love you.

It's annoying when you don't get all the story in one place and yeahhh it'd be cool if you were reading the other series too and YEAH that's why they do that. It's super awesome, actually, when you're actually reading the other story lines.

In this case the only one of the (four?) referenced other series I'm reading is Thor: Goddess of Thunder, soooo mostly I was annoyed.

That said, the story itself is great, and complicated, and I ADORE this iteration of Victor Von Doom. He's just a delight.
