I can't say I enjoyed reading this book, it was so sad, but also beautiful. It stayed with me for a while after reading it. It's a remarkable book and the insight into the violence and fragility of people is well observed. The balance of love and hate and the sense that everything can change in a moment.

O amor tem propósito, mas o ódio não.
Acho que gostei deste livro. Teve coisas que não entendi direito porque falavam de coisas da história/cultura brasileira e, já que não sou brasileiro mesmo, não consegui entender muito bem. Mesmo assim, gostei da história. Gostei de como Camilo adotou o Renato como filho próprio dele, e como o livro refletiu sobre o luto, e a trauma.
Um tempo depois, quero voltar para esse livro, para ver se consigo entender melhor.
