I wanted to love this so very much but it was incredibly gore filled and difficult to read. I really really appreciated reading about bodies and experiences like my own in the queer and autistic characters. I’m a sucker for a found family dynamic and especially a LGBT+ one, so that was lovely. However, a huge warning to anyone going to or thinking about reading it that there is so much body horror and very graphic violence. I don’t think it belongs in YA and should be in the adult section. Disappointed that I couldn’t love this as much as I wanted to, it was just way too much for me personally.brynalexa's review against another edition

This book has basically every imaginable TW on it EXCEPT for sexual assault, but even that is briefly touched on. Benji has trauma from assault, but only from physical/emotional abuse, not SA.thecaffeinatedpoet's review against another edition
