This book was amazing omg I can’t wait to read the next one!! I usually get intimidated with fantasy books but this was easy to follow along and had the perfect mix of sci-fi too. 5 stars!

This was a really interesting read for me. It took me awhile to finish it, but I didn’t want to DNF. I was really hyped for this story & because it had LGBT characters & the author is sooo LGBT inclusive I really wanted to give this whole book a good go.

I found it GOOD but also so slow at times. Maybe it was because Nina Valera was packing so much world building and character self analysis. Not that I didn’t like all of those things because SPOILER the ending seriously leaves you thirsting for more.

The end part of this book is what really did it for me. All that time building and building and it finally led up to the moment we were ALLLLL wanting.

and then of course as any good book (series?????? please I need more.) what we all wanted was ripped away from us & we are left wondering what’s next.

Overall I’m going to give this a 4/5 stars. Really because I just had a hard time with the first half of the book. But that’s totally on me don’t worry.

As a sci-fi hater, I LOVED this book.
It felt like getting a warm hug
I got butterflies, giggled and get my heart being torn out.
This book was an excellent work and a wonderfully emotive piece!
I would recommend this if you want a YA queer book!

throughout the entire book i was so frustrated that the automa supposedly have superenhanced senses and can even hear people's internal organs from afar but the humans keep whispering all their illegalities right in front of them and they somehow don't notice
