Trigger warning for anyone who has diet/weight/exercise issues because thereâs a *lot* of talk of good and âbadâ foods, cheat days, rules, and spending extra time in the gym to make up for eating something âbadâ. Itâs in the context of someone training for the NFL, yes, but IMO it doesnât make that explicit enough and make it clear that for a regular person itâs ok to eat the damn chips.Â
There is also a scene where she is very dismissive of consumer debt help since she âshould be able to get herself out of the situation she made for herselfâ - yet in this very realistic scenario it takes a celebrity paying her exorbitant fees to do this.Â
Her parents have a problem with their adult daughter sharing a room with her partner.Â
Lots of toxic masculinity nonsense as well.Â
Underneath it is a decent âwe canât be lovers, must resistâ tension but it was ruined by all the other crap.Â
Interestingly, I listened to this as an audiobook and ended up listening on 0.85 speed as I found the narrator really fast - and normally I like to speed through these kinds of books.Â
Moderate: Body shaming, Grief, Injury/Injury detail, and Car accident
Minor: Panic attacks/disorders

I really am enjoying this series. The friend group with the 3 women is incredible. The focus on their goals and men just happening to enter into their lives does not take away from the goals. I appreciate that so much.Â
I also liked that Taylor has a learning disability in this book. Itâs not often seen in books and itâs nice to see that representation. When Taylor calls him 23 it just makes me so happy.
I liked the couple, build to their relationship and how supportive their were of each other and their goals. Iâm excited to read the last one!Â

Sign me up for more fierce females fake-dating younger guys who support them through learning disabilities while also fighting feelings and working out. I mean, really, this book had it all.
I absolutely loved reading The Dating Playbook, so this sequel was highly anticipated. It didn't disappoint in the slightest! While I didn't necessarily relate to totally in-shape fitness guru Taylor, I still saw myself in some of her anxieties throughout the story (whether familial or relationship-related) and I loved how real she was.
Jamar is my newest book boyf, for sure. He is swoon-worthy. Sexy football player with a big heart? Yes, please! I really enjoyed his perspective because it helped me appreciate the relationship all the more.
This book made me laugh, blush, and even tear up a couple of times. I absolutely adored every second of it!
