The book has fast-paced and exciting battles, dangerous encounters, and moments of wonder. One of my favorites is the story of Edmund’s betrayal and eventual redemption. I want to give a good rating because the characters have each personality and it's well-implemented: Lucy’s innocence, Peter’s bravery, and Susan’s care. Make them all likable in their ways.

The story is full of excitement, fun characters, and important lessons about bravery and forgiveness. It’s a perfect book for anyone who loves to read fantasy and a good battle between good and evil.

The writing in this classic, children's fantasy tale is straight forward and the action fast paced. Never a dull moment, with the style much like a fairytale of the Brothers Grimm tradition. The somewhat dated gender stereotypes are quite forgivable in my opinion, as it is clear by the end all the children are given equal power and rewards. The allegory if Aslan and Jesus, and the themes of betrayal and redemption via Edmund were incredibly powerful, and these elevate this from a mere children's story, to a meaningful classic for all ages.
