I really love Colleen Hoover books but this one was not for me. I know this was her attempt to dabble into a new genre and be adventurous with new writing but it was not my cup of tea.

The beginning of the book pulled me in immediately but then the plot became weird and uncomfortable. Leeds was a despicable character to me. I could not stand him most of the book.

I did give it two stars for keeping me engaged in finding out what happens and because the ending surprised me. It was genuinely an unpredictable book which made it hard to quit the plot.

Lots of twists, but I didn’t like Leeds (the story is told in his perspective) so it didn’t really get to me

I do not like supernatural books…. But this one was different. It was not at all what I was expecting and I loved it.

Leeds is the guitarist for Garret’s Band. Layla daces to his music at her sisters wedding. After the show ends, Leeds finds Layla and they have instant chemistry. They spend all their time together including when tragedy hits. Layla is critically injured. She makes a full recovery, yet she is not the same. Feeing guilty, Leeds is left to care for her. He brings her back to the bed and breakfast where they met in hopes to bring her back to her old self. But as soon as Leeds and Layla get to the B&B, weird and unexplainable things start happening. At first Leeds is freaked out, but he doesn’t believed in ghosts. But soon enough his attention shifts from Layla to the other houseguest, Willow.

I couldn’t even finish this book. I have loved everything she has written with the exception of this one
